SUSAN MCGILLICUDDY

Susan is a self taught artist living in Stow, MA. She began painting when she worked at a garden center and found influences in the flowers and vegetables that she worked with every day. Her watercolor paintings are both detailed and emotive, capturing the realistic beauty of the plants while simultaneously looking at a wash of paint on paper. According to Susan, "Much of my inspiration comes from humble, everyday items and experiences in my life. Whether the subject is a bunch of radishes, a basket of yarn waiting for my next knitting project, or the view from a kitchen window, these paintings are intended to celebrate life’s simple pleasures."
